Tag is a sport for everyone and caters to a wide range of ages, skill sets, fitness levels and other sporting codes. Our players range from 4 years old right through to adults.
All grades are mixed meaning male and female in same teams.
Being an unaffiliated module we are able to keep our prices low ensuring everyone in the family can play.
Player fees for both Juniors and Adults are $30 per player for the season.

The 2026 / 2027 season will start in October 2026.
TRAININGS - There are no trainings for Tag. Players learn and build skill while playing.
GAMES - Games take place on Thursday’s with games kicking off for younger grades from 5.30pm and older grades playing later in the evening. Games are ½ hour long.

Tomarata Tag is a Thursday night tradition at the club and one of the biggest community sports modules in the area. Each season around 400 players take the field, with teams and players coming from Tomarata, Mangawhai, Wellsford and beyond.

Tag is a non-contact game that welcomes everyone, from 4-year-olds through to adults. Games are only ½ hour long but allow for all members of family to play over a few hours. It’s a great option for families who want to play on the same night, but it also attracts players from other sports and teams looking for either a social run or a more competitive game.

Games start with our younger grades from 5.30pm, with older grades playing later in the evening. The Tomarata Tag module is non-affiliated and run locally by the club, making it a relaxed and enjoyable way for people of all ages and abilities to stay active and connected.
